Job description

Overall Objectives

Developing a plan to manage and execute ECSSR’s official events, ensuring excellence in logistical organization, alignment with corporate identity, and optimal media coverage in coordination with the relevant departments. Overseeing all interactions with external stakeholders and cultivating sustainable partnerships to support the achievement of the ECSSR’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing or similar major with 13 years of experience in the field including 6 years in supervisory roles.
  2. Master’s degree with 11 years of experience in the field including 4 years in supervisory roles.
  3. PhD with 8 years of experience in the field.

Specialized-General Responsibilities

  1. Prepare plans for concluding cooperation agreements with local and foreign agencies; evaluate and review these agreements, and regularly follow up on their implementation to maximize their outcomes.
  2. Manage communication with the external community, external agencies, and companies in order to promote the ECSSR’s developments, activities, events, and occasions.
  3. Manage media relations to cover the ECSSR’s news (interviews and visual news reports) in coordination with the Media Department, and build strong relationships with various media outlets.
  4. Supervise the preparation of the social media plan in line with the Conference and Communication Department’s annual agenda, and prepare an annual marketing plan covering all events.
  5. Promote the ECSSR’s activities and publications, inform the public about the ECSSR’s services such as the UAE Federation Library, and actively promote these on social media according to the budget allocated.
  6. Plan, organize, and market different activities and events such as conferences, seminars, and lectures.
  7. Prepare plans deemed necessary to strengthen cooperation between the ECSSR and other domestic and international academic institutions and think tanks by organizing or hosting joint events.
  8. Supervise the publication of website content across the ECSSR’s social media platforms.
  9. Evaluate employee performance and identify their requirements.
  10. Carry out any other task assigned within the scope of work.
