If you're a proven dealmaker with experience selling knowledge services into banks and sovereign wealth funds, this role offers the chance to build a regional presence, shape strategy, and drive exponential growth.

The Role

As the Director of Business Development - Middle East, you will lead WSP's expansion across the Middle East, driving revenue growth and forging deep partnerships with top financial institutions. This is a high-autonomy role, where you'll develop strategy, close deals, and scale our regional presence-leveraging our strong client relationships and PE-backed growth engine.

Who You Are:

  • A high-energy business development leader with 5-10 years of experience selling training, advisory, or knowledge services into banks, SWFs, and financial institutions.
  • Someone who has successfully scaled a Western company's presence in the Middle East and understands the nuances of doing business in the region.
  • A relationship-driven dealmaker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can build a business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Regional Growth & Own Revenue Targets

  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to expand WSP's footprint across the Middle East.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closing.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and establish long-term strategic partnerships with banks, SWFs, and financial institutions.

Build Deep Client Relationships

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for key Middle East clients.
  • Develop tailored training solutions, leveraging WSP's digital and in-person learning offerings.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations and position WSP as the preferred training partner in the region.

Scale Operations & Lay the Foundation for Future Expansion

  • Be the face of WSP in the Middle East, representing us at major industry events, conferences, and high-level meetings.
  • Work closely with global leadership to align regional strategy with overall company growth objectives.
  • Set the stage for future team expansion as our regional presence grows.

Leverage Data & Market Insights

  • Monitor market trends and identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to optimize our Middle East go-to-market approach.
  • Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging and demand-generation efforts.

What You Bring

  • 5-10 years of B2B business development experience, specifically selling training, consulting, or knowledge services into banks, SWFs, or financial institutions.
  • Proven track record of winning and expanding high-value accounts in the Middle East.
  • Experience scaling a local presence for a Western company entering the region.
  • Deep knowledge of the financial ecosystem in the Middle East market.
  • A self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is eager to own a region and scale a business.
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and executive relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the region as needed.
