Job Description

Looking for an experienced IT Sales Director to lead our sales & marketing teams and drive the growth of our technology solutions. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic leader with a proven track record in IT sales to shape and expand our market presence, build strong customer relationships, and manage a dynamic team of sales professionals. The IT Sales Director should play a pivotal role in setting and achieving sales targets, developing business strategies, and aligning our offerings with client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and expand market share in line with company objectives.
  2. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to achieve their individual targets and professional development goals.
  3. Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and presenting solutions that deliver value.
  4. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential new business opportunities.
  5. Product Positioning: Collaborate with product and marketing teams to align offerings with market demand and enhance solution positioning.
  6. Sales Operations Management: Oversee sales operations, forecasting, and pipeline management to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  7. Negotiations and Closing: Lead negotiations with prospective clients, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and achieving beneficial agreements.
  8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, support, and project teams to ensure seamless implementation and high customer satisfaction.
  9. Drive Product Positioning and Market Penetration: Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine value propositions and optimize product positioning.
  10. Monitor Sales Metrics and Reporting: Track KPIs and performance metrics to assess team effectiveness, identify improvement areas, and ensure goals are met. Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, market challenges, and strategic initiatives.
  11. Customer Satisfaction and Retention: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by collaborating with support teams to address any issues promptly. Develop and implement retention strategies to maintain and grow existing client relationships.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years in IT sales with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, and at least 5-7 years in a sales leadership role.
  2. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT solutions and services, including cloud computing, software, and IT infrastructure.
  3. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead high-performance sales teams and develop talent within the organization.
  4. Customer-Centric: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to engage effectively with executive-level stakeholders.
  5. Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends, anticipate customer needs, and create actionable sales strategies.
  6. Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  7. Technology Savvy: Proficiency with leading ERP and CRM software, sales analytics, and familiarity with industry-relevant technology solutions.
