Job Description

As a member of the Global Markets Sales team, the incumbent will be a strong team player with the ability to deliver agreed sales and revenue targets across Global Markets. In addition, identifying and cultivating cross-sell opportunities within the sectors and geographies will be a prerequisite to building long-term relationships aimed at firmly establishing FAB as the go-to bank.

The specific customer segment under the scope will be Financial Institutions, SWF, Central Banks, and NBFIs.

Distribution & Coverage Scope:

Financial Institution Sales

As a member of the Financial Institution Sales Team, the incumbent will focus on the origination and distribution of FX, Rates, and Commodities solutions to Financial Institutions, SWFs, Central Banks, and NBFIs. A strong expectation exists to understand client requirements and provide a high-quality distribution service to the targeted clients.

  • Responsible for building on the Global Markets flow business in FX, Rates, and Commodities covering MENA, Turkey, Egypt, Europe, and America regions.
  • Pricing vanilla FX, Interest Rates, and Nonlinear rates and commodities.
  • Product Knowledge: The incumbent is expected to provide multi-asset class coverage, including FX (including options), Interest rate derivatives, Commodity solutions, Equities, Derivatives, and Islamic Products.
  • Drive the business by identifying and onboarding new clients.
  • Ability to drive conversations with key stakeholders – Legal, FIG, Documentation team, and Trading.
  • Develop & deepen client relationships through regular engagement, thought leadership, and a solution-driven approach aimed at building long-term partnerships with key accounts.
  • Work alongside the team to engage with clients based in the UAE, MENA, Turkey, Egypt, Europe, and America regions, serving their financial needs and providing tailored solutions while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Ensure high-quality execution and build/maintain strong relationships with GM product, Coverage teams, and the enablement functions.
  • Strong team player, working closely with members of the GM Sales Team and supporting as required.
  • Ensure maximum optimization of customer flow activity and cross-selling opportunities to produce best-in-class flow to grow the GM franchise.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory guidelines and internal policies. Assist in implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential exposures.
  • Ensure client/internal/monetary impacting issues are escalated appropriately to the line manager within a suitable timeframe.
  • Expectation to participate in client meetings, events, and forums.
  • Managerial Duties: You may be assigned a managerial duty which can extend to managing an assigned intern, graduate, AFAQ, or assigned individual/team within Global Markets Sales.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Global Market products, including risk valuations, XVA pricing, and RAROC.
  • Proven experience of 5 - 12 years working in Financial Markets.
  • Direct Customer support/Client Service experience.
  • Strong and effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge in using a range of MIS & performance metrics to drive client portfolio growth.
  • Experience of working in a high-volume and high-pressure environment.
  • Experience of interaction with other regional and global teams.
  • Accurate, thorough, and highly responsible with good attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
