Position: Director - Global Procurement and SCM
Location: Dubai, UAE.About the Role:
As part of the clients ambitious growth strategy for the next five years, our client is on the hunt for a strategic and experienced professional to lead our global SCM initiatives. One will collaborate closely with the leadership team to enhance our procurement and supply chain operations, focusing on products, capital assets, IT supplies, and technology services within the imaging and attractions industry. This role demands a track record of exceptional business
acumen and industry experience, coupled with the ability to manage a global team across GCC, China, and the Far East.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and execute global sourcing strategies to maximize cost efficiency, optimize warehousing, and streamline supply chain processes.
• Lead and Manage Team: Oversee a global team specializing in procurement, including merchandise, printing services, entertainment/media equipment, IT consumables, cloud services, software applications, medical insurance, and staff accommodation.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring adherence to client’s quality and sustainability standards.
• Market Analysis and Risk Management: Evaluate market trends to uncover new sourcing opportunities and develop risk management strategies.
• Team Leadership: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within a diverse team, ensuring alignment with contemporary industry standards.
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Cost Reduction and Innovation: Drive cost reduction initiatives and strategic sourcing plans while supporting cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and innovate.
• Value Creation: Focus on delivering value for stakeholders and driving strategic objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) and an MBA in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years in procurement, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the GCC region is a plus.
• Preference for candidates with experience in the attractions industry.
• Proven ability to lead a global team of 25+ specialists with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven expertise in international sourcing, particularly from GCC, China, and the Far East, with a strong foundation in acquiring video production equipment as well as technology-related capital assets.
• Self-confident, analytical, with excellent strategic thinking and contract management skills.
• Familiarity with global supply chain management, warehousing, and trade compliance.
