Director - Business Development, Noatum Ports

About The Role

The Director will be accountable for leading the development and vetting of financial business models and the formulation and articulation of New Business investment proposals.

They will translate business and infrastructure/equipment investment opportunities into tangible investment proposals.

Role Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue business leads that align with the overall strategic goals of Noatum Ports.
• In collaboration with enterprises worldwide, identify and develop opportunities for economic and commercial value creation through the development of new port services and expansions of established port & related facilities.
• Support international ports and port facilities commercial contractual negotiations.
• Initiate, compile and present clear, compelling and balanced Investment Proposals for potential submission to the Investment Committee for consideration and approval.
• Support Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer in presenting and defending Investment Proposals at Investment Committees.
• Ensure that sources of data and market and business intelligence are consistently tracked and recorded
• Build models that cover new contracts, expansion of facilities (infrastructure, superstructure, equipment, manning and IT) of existing enterprises, asset renewal and asset replacement.
• Accountable for production and maintenance of all financial models data and calculations integrity and improving standard IC decks and financial projection templates
• Coordination of ad hoc project teams (risk, legal, finance, commercial, civil, ops, local BUs, consultants) to produce consolidated Investment Proposal decks and Financial Business Models inclusive scenarios analysis, risks and mitigations.
• Secure assumptions vettings from legal and risk, finance, commercial, civil, ops and HSSE, ESG, IT, local Noatum Ports enterprises.
• Collaborate with strategy and commercial professionals to develop investment strategies
• Provide decision makers with business models and plans to develop Noatum Ports international footprint and improve financial performance.

Role Requirements

• Master / Bachelor Degree in Business Management with Finance
• Business English fluency level
• Minimum of 15 Years experience
• Business Development / Infrastructure investment / M&A experience
• Proven success coordinating ad hoc project teams and consultants to produce consolidated Investment Proposal decks supported by appropriate Financial Models
• Sourcing market and financial data from diverse sources for locations and industries worldwide
