DIRECTOR - BUILDING DESIGN

The Director - Building Design shall provide leadership, direction and oversee technical excellence associated with the E&D - Building Design Capability (as part of the E&D - Capability) for the Middle East business. Directly responsible for the quality of E&D - Building Design deliverables. Working closely with the Markets and Accounts to ensure regional business revenue and EBIT targets are met, with a focus on maximising profit from the overall E&D - Capability. The technical excellence scope included within the E&D - Building Design scope are as follows:

• Building Services (MEP)
• Creative Theming and Show (CTS)
• Specialist Design Services (e.g. VT, FLS)

Key Responsibilities:

• Capability Strategy - Support Regional Director - E&D in development and implementation of strategy to achieve E&D - Capability performance aligned with Long Range Plan (LRP) (5-year plan), annual Business Plan and proposed targets specific to E&D.
• Resource Demand Management - Support in the management of resource requirements, specific to E&D - Building Design Capability, providing leadership in recruitment, retention and performance.
• Technical Excellence - Manage the development and deployment of technical excellence tools, techniques and training for the E&D - Building Design Capability.
• Overhead Management - Ensure E&D - Building Design Capability resource is managed in line with the Overhead budget.
• Talent Management - Provide leadership to drive proactive identification and development of talent.
• Technical Development - Ensure effective collaboration with Markets and Accounts to implement required technical development.
• Win Work - Proactive support of Win Work opportunities.
• Leadership & Vision - Provide leadership and demonstrate positive behaviours with performance defined by feedback.
• Future Business Plan development - Support Markets and Accounts in developing and implementing business plans.
• Nationalisation targets - Support Markets and Accounts in achieving required Nationalisation targets.

• Extensive technical Capability experience
• Regional SME (subject matter expert) for E&D - Building Design Capability
• Excellent presentation skills
• Lead the business in Capability development
• Represent the business at functions selling our E&D - Building Design expertise
• Regional mentor for top talent
• Engage and drive collaboration across our business

• Identified as an industry leader within the E&D - Building Design Capability
• Background in Consultancy preferably client experience
• Minimum 15 years experience
