About Role

Solution Architect with domain expertise & experience in designing solutions involving various Digital Banking/Mobile banking systems of the Financial institutions in the UAE region.

Location: Dubai

Responsibilities

• Create technical solutions to specific business problems and requirements within the company’s business strategy, considering the company’s Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
• Provide solutions in line with Agile and DevOps oriented project delivery.
• Design digital solutions considering SOA, Open API, API management, and Microservices architecture principles wherever applicable.
• Build end-to-end solutions keeping customer-first methodology with respect to web/mobile app, Multichannel framework, BPM, CRM, Data & Analytics components.
• Present tactical and strategic options architecture and solutions to senior management.
• Manage and review application, data, and technology components from an enterprise architecture perspective.
• Maintain technology options that will most appropriately support the Bank’s required software systems.
• Ensure current and complete documentation of the Bank’s systems architecture and the interactions between those systems is developed and maintained.
• Consider scalability, disaster recoverability, and system performance in all aspects of the overall systems architecture.
• Facilitate the effective integration of all systems operating within the Bank, particularly as new systems are selected and implemented.
• Participate in the Bank’s IT strategy formulation and provide research on the latest digital technology.
• Define Technology Roadmap and govern technology portfolio from an Enterprise/Digital Application Architecture perspective.
• Contribute to the digital transformation by defining an Omni-channel architecture centered on customer experience.
• Research current and developing technology options that can be adopted by the bank to meet business requirements such as Microservices, SOA new patterns, Blockchain, Open API.

Domain Required

Open to other domains, preferably Personal Banking/Digital Banking.

Application and Version Required

Cloud Native, Mobile & Web-based applications for digital banking & onboarding.

Must Have Skills

• A good understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications (e.g., SSO, OAuth, SAML, Field-Level Encryption, etc.).
• Working knowledge in application development/integration preferably Java, Spring framework (Boot, MVC, JPA), Angular, React Native, React web, TIBCO, WebSphere.
• At least 3 years in solution architecture covering 3 or more of web/mobile applications, SOA/API/Microservices & integration, analytics, infrastructure, and deployment.
• At least 5 years in software development with at least 2 years in building Java backend applications.
• Working knowledge of front-end development technology (e.g., Native iOS, Native Android, Hybrid/Web: AngularJS, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, React Native).

Additional Must Have Skills

• Defining API Specification for REST or Web Services.
• Knowledge of API & Interface governance, design standards and principles.
• Knowledge in Cloud Deployments.
• Knowledge of hardware sizing and defining application architecture that is highly available and scalable.
• Managing the life cycle of solutions, undertaking technology watch, and developing proofs of concept for Compliance systems (applicable to both on-premise & Cloud based components, especially AWS).

Nice to Have Skills

• AWS, Azure, Professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in Cloud, DevOps, Agile development methodology.
• Aware of security standards & best practices while defining the application architecture.

Digital, Web & Mobile App Architecture, Microservices, Containerization and Integration technologies, Agile, Cloud, DevOps, Presentation Skills.

Any Function Areas Required

Personal Banking Products, Onboarding processes, Core Banking functionalities, Customer verification/KYC processes.

Team Handling Skills Required

Good to have Agile / Waterfall / DevOps experience.
