Job description

Job Purpose:

Work with an energized team across different departments on the world’s leading quick service restaurant (QSR) brand in the MENA region to:

  • Own and drive the eCommerce vision, sales strategy and roadmap, focussing on big wins across different delivery channels.
  • Ensure that all activities undertake a customer-first, commercial insights-driven approach that will drive the company goals.
  • Effective CRM strategy leveraging our huge data base to monetize Owned Digital Channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives digital marketing initiatives by leading digital execution and performance assessment.
  • Leads the development and integration of CRM and the digital marketing/media strategies, processes and systems.
  • Partners with marketing agencies/vendors (media, PR, advertising, digital, e-commerce,) and internal teams (CRM, IT, Digital) to achieve key brand objectives (awareness, brand engagement, purchase intent).
  • Identifies opportunities to broaden and strengthen working relationships that drive greater digital marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Works with internal brand teams and external partners to marry strategy with rich consumer insights to inform best-in-class digital marketing across all digital channels.
  • Explore new processes and programs that drive consumer/trade sales via digital channels including Online Food Ordering.
  • Ensures that digital initiatives are executed in conjunction with traditional marketing tactics to enable cross-channel marketing objectives.
  • Develops a successful vision/strategy through strong leadership skills.
  • Creates innovative ideas that bridge web, mobile, CRM, social, SEM/SEO, and digital media to provide solutions based on business and marketing objectives.
  • Plans, develops, and executes digital initiatives across consumer touch points including brand websites, search marketing (paid search (SEM) and organic search (SEO), email marketing, social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), online advertising, digital PR, mobile marketing, digital POS, new and emerging opportunities.
  • Drives digital marketing and CRM thought leadership, education, and interactive innovation across the organization.
  • Prepares and presents strategies and plans; provides updates to senior management.
  • Measures, assesses, and reports digital marketing performance; informs teams of optimization opportunities and strategic recommendations.
  • Develops, maintains, and ensures adherence to operating budget and capital spending plan.
  • Sets and delivers against clear timelines, continually analyzes and reports on all aspects of performance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Experience:

  • 7+ years experience in a commercially focused ecommerce role, with a good understanding of digital technologies.
  • MUST HAVE: Extensive experience in performance marketing, past experience of managing digital marketing budgets, leveraging data-driven insights to scale campaigns efficiently and maximize ROI.
  • MUST HAVE: Deep understanding of digital marketing eco-system including Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Adjust, Google Analytics, etc.
  • MUST HAVE: Proven track record of handling performance marketing/media agency partners.
  • Passionate about the consumer experience on digital platforms.
  • Proven experience in CRM; customer segmentation, multi-channel marketing, SMS, push, digital advertising, and email.
  • Experience working with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to extract the necessary data needed to make critical decisions.
  • Experience managing brands or projects, creating marketing/agency briefs, and developing sell-in decks.
  • Data-driven.
  • Consulting or strategy experience building business cases and creating proposals.
  • Big picture thinker with the ability to turn strategy into action.
  • Restaurant or retail experience with an understanding of operational complexity is a plus.
  • Reputation for building strong partnerships across cross-functional and outside teams, and having solid negotiation skills.

Region Specific:

  • Extensive living and working experience in the Middle East; fluent in English and Arabic language skills advantageous.
  • Have broad appreciation and capability to promote cultural, gender, and religious diversity across the business.
  • Role requires regular travel within the region with international travel beyond the region required from time to time.
