Overview of the role
To establish the IKEA Brand as the preferred choice in home furnishing products and solutions that create a better everyday life for the many people, thereby reaching the IKEA business objectives. This shall occur by: stimulating home furnishing interest in each local market, securing a strong brand and competitive position in each local market, driving traffic to the IKEA store, IKEA website and digital touchpoints by attracting new and more visitors to visit more often, and build loyalty throughout their life stages.
To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to live and breathe everything social media and digital marketing. The candidate should be a strong contributor to the regional marketing team and other functions (Customer Relations) that helps IKEA to listen, react and communicate within the social media environment. Be responsible for implementing the social media tone of voice and strengthen the IKEA position as the leader in life at home in the digital marketing environment. Optimise all digital channels to increase organic and paid traffic to IKEA.com.
Working with teams of different cultural backgrounds, diverse regions, and colliding priorities, high organisation skills and a clear vision of the marketing and business objectives is necessary. Being an excellent communicator is vital to this role. You should be able to ensure that content is produced in an integrated manner to assure unity across all social touchpoints.
What you will do
Strategy, Planning & Implementation
- Support the Digital marketing leader in developing the Social Marketing Plan – in line with the predefined business priorities and KPIs.
- Ongoing responsibilities for Social Media management, digital advertising, Search Engine Management, and owned digital assets; through alignment with internal teams, and external agencies.
- Day-to-day interaction with key agency stakeholders to ensure the effective and timely delivery of marketing priorities.
- Ongoing responsibility for planning of social performance and advertising projects and post-implementation – working closely with relevant internal / external stakeholders and partners (e.g. web analytics, agencies) to ensure detailed reporting, insights and optimization.
Performance Marketing Tracking & Optimization
- Effectively track social advertising budgets in order to maximize ROI, engagement and reach to drive e-commerce results and traffic generation across social media.
- Work with the existing customer database and Digital Marketing leader in the application of relevant insights, processes, tools and thinking – to optimize Marketing effectiveness for all Digital Marketing campaigns and measure ROMI.
- Work alongside the Marketing Manager to implement, monitor and optimize performance advertising and tracking activities against agreed KPIs – and ensuring they are reported to key stakeholders in a timely and accurate fashion.
Channel Development & Management
- Working with external vendors and internal stakeholders to manage all content marketing campaigns across all of the IKEA social media channels
- Can lead and support on content creation creatively with limited budgets, to ensure native content is fresh and always relevant across all social channels.
- Working with Social agency to ensure all communities are being controlled to the best global standards.
- Advanced knowledge on digital channels to make targeted recommendations of how to deliver successful activities within each channel and combined channels
- Demonstrate knowledge in social channels, digital analytics tools, and well-versed with influencers and thought leaders.
- Demonstrate creative content production tactics with limited budgets and ensuring targeted campaigns are rolled out periodically.
- Review the media plan and evaluate the best performance with the chosen media.
Customer engagement and customer service
- Support the customer service teams in ensuring customers complaints are escalated in accordance to the standard operating procedures.
- Ensuring the IKEA tone of voice is used in all social communications, contributing to the branding objectives.
- Strengthen the proactive social presence and secure daily sales and branding positive opportunities
- Implement strategies and ideas to increase customer satisfaction and improve sentiment
- Ensure internal communication is top-notch and to display flawless communication skills to insure team alignment.
Required skills to be successful
- Experience of social media communication and digital marketing techniques
- Has worked with Reporting tools- reporting & configuration & data analysis
- Experience in video and photo editing softwares
