Digital Editor, Vogue Arabia

Reporting to the Head of Editorial Content (HEC), this role is central to all digital

operations as it helps organise daily content and workflow for staff and freelance content creators.

The Digital Editor will be expected to have a solid understanding of the Middle East market, a passion for fashion, beauty and culture, and a dedication to producing high-quality products. They will commission, edit, and write dynamic and innovative content. Collaborating closely with colleagues globally, they should have a strong understanding of SEO and analytics, as well as an awareness of global trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of Editorial and other editorial leaders to generate, commission and edit story ideas from the internal team as well as from external contributors.
  • Manage workflow, build and produce stories for digital content, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and build a strong bank of regional and international writers, ensuring all editorial contributors adhere to Vogue’s quality and style standards.
  • Help guide social, newsletter and video strategy – bringing new ideas and data-led learnings to the content.
  • Manage the daily digital editorial calendar, helping to maintain the publishing schedule and seeing content ideas through, from ideation to publication.
  • Work with audience and revenue teams to help inform content development. Monitor performance and analytics, and assist in building weekly and monthly reports.
  • Identify areas of collaboration with digital partners in order to gain an editorial advantage.
  • Work with commercial teams to help execute native advertising ideas and ideate commercial solutions.
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand both internally and externally.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing, editing and writing at a digital-focused media company.
  • Strong understanding of the Middle East market, with a solid network of regional contacts.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an expertise in social platforms and SEO.
  • Experience using and acting on data collected from key analytics tools.
  • Strong collaboration and organisational skills; deadline-conscious, goal-oriented.
  • Understanding of the global Vogue brand and the digital landscape.
  • Affiliate/ecommerce experience is a plus.
  • Written and spoken Arabic is a plus.
