Digital Business Analyst

As a Digital Business Analyst specializing in Insurance and Broking, you will be responsible for analysing and developing complex business processes, identifying areas for digital optimization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions. Also, it would be required to support innovative solutions on a no code platform using Java and API knowledge.

Your role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, customer experiences, and overall business success in the insurance and broking domain.

Main Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

• Work closely with stakeholders (internal and external) to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
• Conduct interviews, surveys, workshops, and observations to identify business needs and pain points.
• Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.

Business Process Analysis:

• Analyse and map current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement using BPMN methodologies.
• Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

Solution Design and Development:

• Work closely with IT and development teams to design digital solutions tailored to the insurance and broking industry.
• Define System solution specifications as required and create wireframes or prototypes as needed.
• Develop business processes on No Code platform for projects and functionality.
• Knowledge of java programming in developing business processes on No code platform, including batches, collections, design patterns etc.

Quality Testing (Functional Testing, UI Testing, Regression Testing, etc.)

• Design, develop, and execute functional test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform thorough testing of applications across different platforms and environments to ensure quality.
• Conduct manual and automated tests to validate system functionality, performance, and usability.
• Execute regression testing to ensure new code changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.

Release Management:

• Develop and execute comprehensive deployment plans for software releases, patches, and upgrades.
• Define and document the deployment process, standards, and best practices.
• Oversee the configuration, setup, and management of different environments (development, testing, staging, production).
• Identify potential risks related to deployments and proactively address them.
• Collaborate with software development, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure proper testing and validation before deployment.
• Ensure that all deployment activities meet quality standards and are thoroughly tested in pre-production environments.
• Track the progress of deployment activities and report on the status to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop training materials and documentation to support team members and users during and after the deployment process.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay informed about the latest industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ensure that digital solutions adhere to all relevant insurance and broking regulations.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory concerns.
• Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to integrate digital solutions using IServer tool.
• Ensure that the digital solutions align with the enterprise architecture framework and standards.
• Update all assets, business processes, architecture diagrams on every initiative and keep the Iserver updated.

API Development and Integration

• Design and implement RESTful, SOAP according to best practices and project requirements.
• Develop API documentation and provide support for API consumers.
• Monitor and test integrations to ensure data accuracy and successful data transfers between systems.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure API functionality and reliability.
• Work with frontend and backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge on Enterprise Architectures.
• Knowledge in java, MongoDB and SQL skills.
• Enterprise Architecture Knowledge is required.
