Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives.
  • Lead the selection and implementation of advanced data analytics and AI tools and technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data mining.
  • Establish a data-driven culture within the organisation by promoting the use of data-based insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and improvement.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of advanced analytics solutions to address specific business challenges.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data assets throughout the organisation.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership to advocate for the value of data analytics and drive adoption of data-driven initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field with experience working in the energy or oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data analytics and a proven track record of leading successful data-driven initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze large data sets and derive meaningful insights that drive decision-making.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), data visualization software, and SQL.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex data insights clearly to stakeholders.
