Job description

To help answer the highest value analytical problem statements posed by different teams and departments across Etihad Airways to the Digital & eCommerce team.

Reporting to the Digital Analytics Manager and working under the guidance of the Digital Engagement Senior Manager, he / she should leverage their advanced analytical skills and the wider analytical toolkit to analyse and visualize Etihad’s digital and enterprise data resources. Additionally, he / she should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work across a multi-disciplined environment.

He / she will be encouraged to develop their skills and techniques for the analysis of data and problem-solving to stay up-to-date with industry-leading Digital Analytics capabilities.

Accountabilities

  • Analyze requirements and identify or design the solution to a problem.
  • Execute complex, ad-hoc analyses utilizing Etihad’s wider analytical toolkit, proactively looking for further insights and root cause.
  • Summarize / visualize results and highlight likely insights for the business translator to develop.
  • Maintain documentation repository of solutions, including methodology.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and improvements to approach in each analysis performed, making recommendations to the wider team as to priorities for further development.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency with Adobe, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, and other advanced analytic and database tools, in-house data sets, and other resources.
  • Will be encouraged to develop one or more specializations in Etihad’s key analytical disciplines (see required skills) and become the ‘go-to’ person among peers in that field. Act as an expert and coach to the wider analytics team.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in digital analytics, reporting, and database management and/or Data Science models used in commercial/digital processes. Experience within the aviation industry in the areas of Digital Analytics and Business Analytics would be preferred.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field. Additional qualifications in analytical disciplines and techniques are an advantage.
  • Proven track record of managing successful digital analytical models and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Good project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
