Two (2) years of experience post-qualification in a related field
with valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS (if necessary)
Key responsibilities of a dietitian include:
Assessing nutritional needs: Evaluating a patient's dietary habits and health conditions to develop a personalized nutrition plan.
Creating meal plans: Designing balanced diets tailored to specific medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, heart disease) or health goals (e.g., weight loss, athletic performance).
Providing dietary counseling: Educating individuals and groups on the importance of nutrition and how to make healthy food choices.
Monitoring and evaluating progress: Tracking a patient's progress and adjusting dietary plans as needed to improve health outcomes.
Managing food-related conditions: Helping patients manage food allergies, intolerances, or chronic diseases like high blood pressure or cholesterol.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals: Working alongside doctors, nurses, and other specialists to integrate nutrition into overall patient care.
