Attend breakdowns, identify faults and problem solve, with minimal downtime to production.
• Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance and repairs to all production machines in a safe, timely and professional manner and return machines to operational service.
• Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management.
• Monitor machines such as wheel loader dozers, compactors, forklifts, chain excavators, etc.
• Assist with Mechanical Installations as required.
• Identify malfunctions in engines, drive train, brake systems, hydraulic, basic electrical and carry out repairs.
• Clean and lubricate gears, shafts, bearings and other equipment parts.
The incumbent is responsible for assuring that maintenance work is completed as per the maintenance plan. The incumbent should control maintenance work and communicate with maintenance supervisor and maintenance engineer, updating them on a daily basis about the maintenance work plan and spare parts.
• Mechanical knowledge of trucks, earth moving equipment, and loading equipment.
• Knowledge in spare parts, troubleshooting, maintenance work, and repairing of all equipment and tools in the project.
• Knowledge in hydraulic systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Fluency in written and spoken English).
• Communicate with clarity and demonstrate excellence in approach to work and people activities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• KSA driver’s license is required.
• Minimum High School diploma with Automotive College courses is required.
