Diagnostic Techncian and Parts Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and software to analyze results and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to provide clear communication regarding vehicle conditions and necessary repairs.
• Support the training of junior staff and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices in diagnostic procedures.

Parts Assistant Responsibilities

• Manage and organize parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels to support timely repairs and maintenance.
• Assist in sourcing and ordering specialized parts from suppliers while tracking delivery times to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
• Excel knowledge is mandatory.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software, scanners and manufacturer-specific systems.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in automotive diagnostics or parts management is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure and provide quick solutions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage parts inventory and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and team members professionally.
