JOB TITLE: DevOps Engineer – Custody Services (Technology)

Duration: 2 Years

Location: Offshore (remote)

JOB PURPOSE:
Support and maintain the TCS BanCS GSP product suite, hosted on JBOSS, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, and Apache HTTP Server. Focus on high availability, performance, and security through DevOps practices, systems administration, and application support.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams for high availability, scalability, and security.
2. Respond to incidents and resolve production issues promptly.
3. Ensure system performance optimization and implement access control policies.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Deployment and Automation:

1. Deploy and manage the TCS BanCS GSP product on application servers (JBOSS, Tomcat) and databases (PostgreSQL).
2. Automate tasks using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Puppet.
3. Ensure smooth updates and upgrades for on-premise/cloud infrastructure.

Infrastructure Management:

1. Provision and manage servers for the BanCS GSP product environment.
2. Collaborate with infrastructure teams for scalable, secure product environments.
3. Maintain configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Terraform).

Monitoring and Incident Management:

1. Set up and manage monitoring solutions for system performance.
2. Troubleshoot issues related to application servers, databases, and web servers.
3. Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and log management.

Security and Compliance:

1. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with bank security standards.
2. Apply patches and security fixes for application servers and databases.

Collaboration and Documentation:

1. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy solutions.
2. Provide documentation for deployed infrastructure and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 5+ years in DevOps, Systems Administration, or similar roles supporting enterprise applications.
3. Strong experience with JBOSS, PostgreSQL, and Apache HTTP Server.
4. Proficient in Linux/Unix scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
5. Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
6. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with TCS BanCS GSP or similar products.
2. Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and security frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
