Job description

We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to join our retail team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business development, managing key relationships, and overseeing the successful execution of retail projects and initiatives. The Taif Al Emarat Head Office is located at Ajman near Car Souq.

Here are some key responsibilities and skills associated with the role:

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
    1. Identify new business opportunities and markets within the retail industry.
    2. Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and customer base.
    3. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business decisions.
  2. Strategic Planning:
    1. Collaborate with senior management to define business development goals and strategies.
    2. Develop detailed business plans to achieve company objectives.
    3. Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies to remain competitive.
  3. Relationship Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers.
    2. Negotiate contracts, partnerships, and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.
    3. Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  4. Project Management:
    1. Oversee the planning and execution of retail development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
    2. Coordinate with various departments, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure project alignment with company goals.
    3. Track project performance, analyze key metrics, and report on progress to stakeholders.
  5. Financial Management:
    1. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to business development activities.
    2. Monitor expenses and revenue to ensure profitability and financial health of new initiatives.
    3. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in business development, project management, or a related role within the retail industry.
  2. Strong understanding of the retail market and industry trends.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  4. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience in retail store development, e-commerce, or supply chain management.
  2. Knowledge of retail technology trends, such as point-of-sale systems and customer relationship management tools.
  3. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
