The Design Technology Teacher (RM or TFN) will deliver an innovative, hands-on curriculum that fosters creativity, problem-solving, and sustainability in design. Through practical learning, prototyping, and experimentation, students will develop industry-relevant skills while exploring emerging materials and technologies. The role also connects students with industry experts and higher education opportunities, promoting ethical and sustainable design solutions for real-world challenges.

Successful candidates will need to:

1. Embody and role model our core values of integrity, empathy and fortitude in everything they do
2. Hold a BEd or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
3. Have proven experience of teaching Design and Technology at KS4/KS5
4. Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice
5. Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focused
6. Be creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching
7. Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents
8. Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching

10. Be willing to make a positive contribution to our school community and culture through active engagement in our extra-curricular programme and community-based events.
