The project:

Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial workplaces and retail units along with public realm.

  1. Manages the implementation of design management system/s and its effectiveness in meeting business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.
  2. Acts as an enabler for change, business improvement and delivers distinctive value for clients.
  3. Oversees all phases or stages of design management including interactions/ coordination with construction, commercial, programme and procurement.
  4. Responsible for coordinating activities to deliver assigned elements of annual business plan outcomes to deadlines and budget requirements.
  5. Guides daily activities of the team of design management resources for project/s.
  6. Ensures briefs and stakeholder requirements are adhered to.
  7. Provides operational support for design management resource deployed to project/s.
  8. Interprets and presents management review data/key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
  9. Supports business development and work winning activities.
  10. Ensures management system and governance is adhered across the lifecycle of project/s and project.
  11. Responsible for review and input into management reviews, collating, analysing, and presenting data and key metrics.
  12. Develops effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  13. Coordinates with team/s ensuring coordinated deliverables.
  14. Actively seeks out knowledge and experience through company reach back.
  15. Actively seeks understanding and utilise the centre of excellence (CoE) knowledge base.
  16. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You ll need to have:

  1. Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval.
  2. Membership of RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  3. Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the xxx sector.
  4. Construction and consultancy expertise.
  5. Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health & safety legislation.
  6. Experience of working in large, diverse teams.
  7. Experience of developing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  8. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on dry utilities.

You ll also need:

  1. Abu Dhabi experience, landscape experience, Arabic speaker preferred.
  2. Good knowledge of the construction and consultancy industries.
  3. Working knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health & safety legislation.
  4. Educated to degree level preferably in design relevant discipline (or equivalent).
