Job Description

• Advising project team/QS/Planning on any impact due to design changes.
• Assisting Engineering Manager on technical queries.
• Providing inputs to Engineering Manager on tender specs/drawings/milestones.
• Assisting value engineering solutions during tender stage and during contract.
• Preparation of material submittal log, shop drawings log, RFI log.
• Preparation of technical details for floating enquiries to vendors on major/key items.
• Review material submittals and process approval from consultant/client.
• Guidance/preparation of engineering calculations as required.
• Review of shop drawings on schematic, plant rooms and typical layouts.
• Provide guidelines to the team on checking shop drawings.
• Raising engineering related RFIs and resolves them with consultants.
• Monitor and guidance on authority approvals.
• Take precautionary and corrective actions based on lessons learned from previous jobs.
• Perform all activities in compliance with the company health, safety and environmental management system and quality system.
• Any additional works as advised by the Line Manager/VP.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Btech degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering
• 3 years of experience in MEP construction department as design engineer is mandatory
• UAE/GCC experience is an added advantage
