Overview:
As a Design and Process Excellence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and standardizing operational processes within our Quick Commerce vertical. This role is critical to ensuring fast, efficient, and cost-effective order fulfillment by developing and implementing best-in-class processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leveraging automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain operations, process optimization, and technology-driven enhancements in a dynamic and fast-paced e-commerce or quick commerce environment.
Job Duties & Responsibility:
1.Process Design & Standardization:
- Design and standardize operational workflows for order picking, packing, last-mile delivery, and fulfillment center operations.
- Map existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all quick commerce operations to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Benchmark against industry standards and adopt best practices for quick commerce fulfillment.
2.Process Optimization & Excellence:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Agile.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order processing time, delivery time, fulfillment accuracy, and operational costs.
- Conduct root cause analysis of operational bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Drive process automation and innovation for real-time tracking, route optimization, and inventory management.
3.Technology & Automation:
- Work closely with tech teams to integrate automation tools and AI/ML-based solutions for demand forecasting, rider allocation, and warehouse optimization.
- Evaluate and recommend technology-driven enhancements to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Leverage data analytics to make informed decisions for process improvements.
4.Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with supply chain, logistics, product, and customer support teams to align on goals, strategies, and execution plans.
- Drive a culture of process excellence by training and upskilling on-ground teams and stakeholders.
- Lead change management initiatives for process transformation and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA / MS) is a plus.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or process improvement, preferably in quick commerce, e-commerce, or last-mile logistics.
- Strong expertise in process design, optimization, and automation solutions.
- Proven experience in implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green/Black Belt certification is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with process mapping tools, data analytics, and operational excellence frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
