Patient Consultations:

  1. Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their medical history and skin-related concerns.
  2. Perform physical examinations focused on dermatological issues.
  3. Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests, such as biopsies or skin cultures.

Diagnosis and Treatment:

  1. Diagnose various skin conditions, including but not limited to dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancer, and infectious diseases.
  2. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, which may involve medications, topical treatments, minor surgical procedures, or referrals to specialists.

Collaboration and Referrals:

  1. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists in internal medicine, oncology, or surgery, to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex conditions.
  2. Refer patients to specialized dermatologists or other healthcare providers when necessary.

Record Keeping:

  1. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up notes.
  2. Utilize telemedicine platforms to provide remote consultations and follow-ups.

Qualifications:

  1. Medical Degree:
    • Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school or university.
  2. Completion of a specialized residency training program in dermatology accredited by a recognized medical board or authority.
  3. The residency program should cover a comprehensive range of dermatological conditions and procedures.
  4. Board Certification or Equivalent Qualification:
    • Board certification in dermatology from a recognized medical board, such as the American Board of Dermatology (ABD), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), or an equivalent international board.
    • Alternatively, proof of successful completion of an equivalent certification examination recognized by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) or Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
  5. Valid Medical License:
    • Possession of a valid and unrestricted medical license issued by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) or Dubai Health Authority (DHA) permitting the practice of dermatology in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
  6. Clinical Experience:
    • Substantial clinical experience as a dermatology specialist, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
    • Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of dermatological conditions, including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, skin infections, and skin cancer.
    • Experience in performing dermatological procedures and surgeries, such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, laser therapy, and cosmetic dermatology procedures.
