Job Description

As a Demi Chef De Partie - Pastry, you will be responsible for overall operational management of Pastry Kitchen including production and personnel management of team members. Promote Mission statement, product and service standards, and marketing goals of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.

What you will be doing :

• Prepare dough for pies, bread and rolls and sweet goods according to standards.
• Makes sure standard recipes are used and pastry and bakery items are presented according to pictorials.
• Performing training programs (theoretical and practical) for Commis and trainees
• Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
• Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
• Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
• Ensure food prepared is according to the set menu specifications (pictures or / and portions) thus maintaining high standards set.
• Organise your section according to the plan devised by the Chef In Charge, in order to ensure smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in hotel industry is preferred
• Excellence in strategic leadership and team management
• Creative and passionate about food and customer service
• Able to work in a high-pressure environment

Visa requirements :

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
