Demi Chef de Partie - Indian Hot Kitchen
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes ensuring consistency and quality.
- Work under the direction of the Chef de Partie and Head Chef to ensure smooth service and kitchen operations.
- Take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen helping to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Follow all recipes, procedures, and presentation standards to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
- Ensure that all food is stored and handled in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Contribute to menu planning and food preparation for special events or promotions.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper stock levels for your section.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years in a similar role in a medium to large hotel.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.
- Hospitality School Certificate is preferred.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications is an asset.
- Positive attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Good product knowledge.
- Ability to produce checklists.
- HACCP control knowledge.
