Demand Planner - Maternity Cover

The Demand Planner (Maternity Cover) is responsible for forecasting product demand to ensure optimal inventory levels and supply chain efficiency. This role involves analyzing sales trends, market data, and historical data to create accurate demand plans. The Demand Planner collaborates with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. This temporary role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights.
• Analyze sales patterns and inventory levels to optimize stock replenishment.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align demand plans with business goals.
• Monitor demand fluctuations and adjust forecasts accordingly to minimize inventory risks.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and reporting.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management on forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
• Support new product launches by forecasting initial demand and ensuring supply readiness.
• Work closely with suppliers and logistics teams to manage lead times and order placements.

• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in demand forecasting techniques.
• Experience using demand planning software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
