Job Description

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and maps to optimize delivery routes and minimize delays.
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in all assignments.
• Handle cash transactions or process payments as required, ensuring accountability and accuracy in financial dealings.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service, to maintain a professional image.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including manifests, receipts, and logs, to streamline tracking and reporting processes.
• Efficiently load and unload goods, utilizing appropriate equipment to prevent damage and ensure the safety of all items transported.
• Safely operate light and heavy vehicles for timely deliveries to various locations, ensuring adherence to traffic regulations and safety protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or transportation management are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; specialized licenses for heavy vehicles may be required based on the role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in delivery or transportation roles, with a proven track record of punctuality and reliability.
• Familiarity with local and regional road networks to enhance route planning and delivery efficiency.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks, demonstrating stamina and physical fitness.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in transportation to ensure a safe work environment.
• Proficiency in using GPS systems and basic technology to track deliveries and communicate effectively.
• Fluency in the local language; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage in diverse communities.
