• Supervises all departments concerning students: Admissions & Registration, Activities & Career Development and the library.
• Develop and supervise programs and policies that support the personal, social, cultural, and educational development of students.
• Assume responsibility for working with students on student-related academic affairs issues, such as Orientation, academic progression, academic support services, registration, and similar matters.
• Liaise with Admissions, the Registrar, Marketing, and Recruitment.
• Develop and oversee the Center for Teaching and Learning, initiating programs, workshops, and other faculty development activities to support instructional development such as innovation in teaching, appropriate use of instructional technology, student-centered pedagogues, and creating assessments for learning.
• Review, research, and develop a general education program, taking primary responsibility for those areas agreed upon, working with faculty and in collaboration with the DVCAA.
• Research and identify new academic majors in collaboration with the DVCAA and assist in locating partners.
•Assume responsibility for the oversight of the documentation for accreditation of new programs and program review in collaboration with the head of the IRO.
• Develop a comprehensive vision and strategy for student programs, policies, and services.
• Provide for student advocacy to facilitate and enhance communication between students, faculty and administration
• Expand and develop the Student Affairs staff; recruit, select, supervise, evaluate, and provide guidance and mentoring to them.
•Assess Student Affairs programs and services; plan and implement needed changes.
• Prepare, monitor and manage the annual Student Affairs budget.
• Advise students on personal, academic, and professional issues; direct them to other staff and/ or resources when appropriate;
• Develop and oversee an effective

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Must have a PhD Degree in a relevant field and preferably an associate professor at a recognized University.
• Preferred: A minimum of ten years working in Student Affairs/Higher Education in progressively or served as a assistance professor or associate professor.
