Al Marwan Group is a holding company established in 1978, Al Marwan Group has grown a strong diversified portfolio in Real Estate Development & Management, Hospitality, General Contracting and Heavy Machinery trading of brand new and used equipment for the Construction, Mining, Oil, and Gas industries.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our dynamic team.

Scope of Work :

The primary goal of the Database Administrator is to ensure a seamless flow of information throughout the organization. This includes managing both backend data structures and frontend accessibility to provide end-users with the best possible experience.

Job Duties :

1. Build and maintain high-availability database systems tailored to end-user's roles and requirements.
2. Design and implement databases that align with user's information needs and viewpoints.
3. Define user roles and enable secure, timely data distribution in appropriate formats.
4. Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
5. Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
6. Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
7. Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
8. Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
9. Monitor database performance and implement necessary changes.
10. Apply new patches and software updates as required.
11. Develop SQL scripts and create web services to facilitate communication between various applications.

Qualifications : Education :

1. Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related discipline or equivalent certification.

Experience :

1. Minimum of 3 years as a Database Administrator.
2. Proven experience with database standards and end-user applications.

Other Requirements :

1. Advanced knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and SQL.
2. Strong familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
3. Hands-on experience with DBA tools (frontend / backend) and third-party solutions.
4. Proficiency in API integrations and programming languages.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think algorithmically.
