Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Data Quality, Governance & Analytics Manager who will lead the development and execution of data management and analytics strategies. This role will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, governance, and quality while driving actionable insights through advanced analytics. The role requires a strong foundation in UX/UI design and design thinking principles to enhance stakeholder experience.

This position will report to senior leadership and involve close collaboration with key business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making. Our client based in Dubai, is one of the largest semi-governmental conglomerates in the region.

Key responsibilities:

Data Management & Governance

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data management framework and strategy to ensure data consistency, quality, and security.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources into a centralized system, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement effective data management tools and technologies.

Analytics & Insights

  • Lead the development and deployment of dashboards, reports, and predictive models to provide actionable insights.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities using advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning and statistical modeling.
  • Design and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve operations.
  • Present insights and data-driven recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

UX/UI Design & Design Thinking

  • Apply UX/UI design principles to create user-friendly and intuitive interfaces for data management and analytics tools.
  • Utilize design thinking methodologies to align data solutions with stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance user experience.

Demand Management & Project Management

  • Manage data and analytics requests, aligning priorities with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a project portfolio to track ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
  • Ensure timely project delivery by coordinating resources, setting timelines, and monitoring progress.
  • Implement project management best practices for successful execution.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in data reporting and analytics.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data analysts and specialists.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize analytics initiatives that support organizational goals.

Process Optimization

  • Leverage data insights to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data solutions.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • A Masters degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing data and analytics projects within shared service environments.
  • Hands-on experience in UX/UI design and the application of design thinking principles.
  • Experience in demand management and project management.
  • Expertise in data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and data integration technologies.
  • Proficiency in analytics platforms (Azure Stack - Databricks) and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and their data structure.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business terms.
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Data quality and governance metrics (e.g., completeness, accuracy, and timeliness).
  • Number and impact of analytics-driven initiatives.
  • Adoption rates of dashboards and analytical tools by stakeholders.
  • Reduction in manual data handling through automation and process improvements.
  • Measurable improvements in shared service operational efficiency.
