Data privacy officer

Synopsis

As part of the Etihad Aviation Group, the Data Privacy Specialist will support the DPO in delivering the Data Privacy program, develop the skills, experience, and qualifications needed to become a competent data privacy professional capable of operating with moderate independence, and perform all activities under the supervision of a manager who will provide or facilitate the necessary training and support.

Accountabilities

1. Coordinate Etihad business areas to maintain Etihad’s regulatory Record of Processing Activities.
2. Review and approve data privacy triage submissions from the business.
3. Review Data Subject Requests under relevant privacy laws and coordinate the business to respond to them within regulatory timeframes.
4. Ensure that cross-border flows of personal data are mapped and that related systems and processes are documented.
5. Track, follow up, and report data Privacy Impact Assessment actions and risks.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with the business to ensure that they are actioned in a timely manner.
7. Manage the Data Privacy inbox.

Education & Experience

1. University degree educated in any discipline (law degree an advantage). Committed to further learning.
2. At least two years’ work experience preferred.
3. Demonstrable ability to work under pressure with good attention to detail, be self-motivated and able to manage own workload effectively.
