As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our Data Analytics team. This team consists of 10 data (analytics) engineers that operates at the intersection of data technology and our core businesses of dredging and offshore operations. Our Data Analytics team supports multiple business teams in a data mesh approach to enable their craftsmanship and specialism. Together we add value.

Your Responsibilities as a Data Engineer

1. Extract, collect, store, and process huge sets of (un)structured data.
2. Develop new data pipelines and innovations required by the business on the Boskalis Data Platform.
3. Build and maintain the data warehouse & data lake on our Boskalis Data Platform, mainly based on Azure Databricks.
4. Close collaboration with data scientists, management of business units, fleet management, engineering, procurement, and IT.

Your Qualities

You can make your mark as a Data Engineer if you have:

• At least 3 years relevant work experience as a Data Engineer.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Databricks, Python/Pyspark, SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
• Data warehousing experience, including Kimball data & generic data modelling.
• Experience on the Azure Data platform.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Extra Information

Your team: You will be part of the Data Analytics and Integration team. This team focuses on Business Analytics Integration and data management. The team consists of 12 colleagues in different roles such as Architects, Contract Managers, Data Engineers, and a Manager.

Where you will work: You will work from our beautiful office in Abu Dhabi.

Full-time/ Part-time job: The position of Data Engineer is a full-time job.
