To monitor and provide first level technical support on IT Infrastructure components hosted in T1 & T2 Data Centers and other remote locations. Provide daily updates on infrastructure related events to management for review and decision making.
Job Description:
Regularly and proactively monitor all components of IT Infrastructure in all facilities where IT equipment is installed and take corrective action wherever necessary.
Coordinate with vendors and manage the OLA to ensure that all corrective and preventive maintenance activities are carried out as per the schedule, quality & safety requirements.
Regularly and proactively monitor critical IT services as identified by Management. Escalate and follow up with Level 2 Support teams for issue resolution.
Liaise with IT Helpdesk staff in communicating with end users regarding planned and unplanned system outages, critical incident reports, etc.
Manage system backups as per defined procedures and frequencies; Conduct periodic checks to restore backup data to test integrity of backups; Maintain records of backup tapes moved between locations.
Maintain records of all activities performed by self / vendors / other support personnel within the Data Center premises. Be responsible for enforcing Access Policy at Data Centers.
Ensure periodic health checks for all IT facilities components by conducting proactive timely drills and checks throughout the year. Document the DR drill procedures and results.
Coordinate with the Technical Department, Building Facilities Management Section, Health & Safety Departments while engaging vendor resources onsite for preventive or corrective maintenance of equipment and components.
Assist in maintaining documentation of infrastructure procedures, operation instructions, user manuals, quality assurance program by adhering to ISMS standards & policies.
Complete all tasks assigned by line manager.
Required Criteria:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
