Data Center Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Design and implement electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and lighting.

Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Perform load calculations and develop electrical schematics and diagrams.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.

Collaborate with other engineers and IT staff to integrate electrical systems with other data center infrastructure.

Manage electrical projects from concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with vendors.

Monitor and analyze electrical systems' performance, providing recommendations for improvements.

Participate in emergency response and recovery operations.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in a data center environment.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication and project management skills.
