Data Analytics Manager

Our client, a global consulting firm, is looking for a Data Analytics Manager, to oversee and drive the growth of the data analytics team. You will be managing data projects, transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making and driving business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to drive the successful implementation of data-driven solutions that enhance our business operations and customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead technology workstreams within projects, managing client expectations and identifying opportunities for additional engagement.
2. Guide teams in strategic planning and execution, facilitating project success and maintaining exemplary standards.
3. Identify and analyze structured and unstructured data across business streams, both internally generated and externally sourced (e.g., market data).
4. Work closely with other members of the Data Team to ensure the data is efficiently ingested and correctly modeled to deliver insights to the business and Technology.
5. Ensure data assets are properly defined and maintained within a central data catalogue.
6. Take ownership of data issues through to resolution, working with IT and other internal stakeholders.
7. Perform and automate data validation to improve data quality and integrity.
8. Develop and maintain procedures, workflows, and other documentation relating to data management.
9. Keep up to date with key industry and technology developments as they relate to data management best practices in the financial services industry.
10. Work with the Data Team to translate business requirements into business intelligence visualizations/dashboards that can be easily understood and used.
11. Locate and define new data-related process improvement opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree or advanced certifications are a plus.
2. More than 5 years of experience in data analytics.
3. Data modeling, cleansing, and enrichment, with experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
4. Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and experience navigating data pipelines.
5. Experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, etc.) to extract insights from file-based storage.
6. Data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Raw, chart.js, etc.
7. Cloud Data Technologies (Mainly Azure - SQL Database, Data Lake, HD Insight, Data Factory, etc.)
