Role Title: Data Analyst/Project Analyst

Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable)

Role Purpose:

The position is designed to ensure seamless coordination and analysis of project data within the department. The role aims to enhance decision-making through accurate data auditing, insightful reporting, and risk management. By leveraging advanced tools such as Power BI, Excel, and data visualization techniques, the Data Analyst will support the team in maintaining compliance with project scopes, budgets, and deliverables, while driving operational excellence. The position serves as a critical link between project managers and senior management, ensuring actionable insights are derived from data to meet organizational goals effectively and efficiently.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Weekly Dashboards: Compile and update weekly dashboards for projects and operations, ensuring accuracy and data-driven insights.
2. Develop and Maintain Risk Register: Identify, document, and monitor risks associated with projects and operations, escalating critical issues to management.
3. Coordinate with Project Managers: Track meeting progress and follow up with project managers to ensure timely task completion and reporting.
4. Analyze Data: Collect and compile information provided by Project managers, ensuring it aligns with contracts, briefs, milestones and budget. Prepare structured reports for management to review and make informed decisions.
5. Prepare Engaging Reports and Presentations: Create professional PowerPoint presentations and templates, ensuring visually appealing and impactful reporting. Follow up on unresolved issues and update the line manager on pending items requiring attention. Use advanced Excel and Power BI to create dynamic data visualizations and insights for better decision-making.
6. Support & Initiatives: Assist the department in achieving operational excellence by providing actionable insights and recommendations driven from Data analysis.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Role Requirements:

1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role focusing on data analysis, reporting, and creating presentation decks.
2. Experience in the UAE/GCC region is preferred.
3. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Data Analytics, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
4. A diploma or certification in Data Analysis, Project Management, or related software tools (preferred).
5. Expertise in Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
6. Strong command of MS Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint.
7. Knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
8. Understanding of data auditing and compliance with project scopes, contracts, and budgets.
9. Basic understanding of project management principles.
10. Knowledge of reporting standards and risk management.
