The Opportunity:

To play a key role in the development of data solutions & information products at Presight. We are looking for an eager to grow Data Analyst to be a part of the team at Presight.

Responsibilities

1. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports.
2. Look for the why behind the numbers. You ask questions and search for solutions; locating and defining new process improvement opportunities. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
3. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
4. Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
5. Flexible, travelling to customer locations as needed.
6. Collaborate, work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
7. Work with IT and data owners to understand the types of data collected in various databases and data warehouses.
8. Collaborate in a multicultural and diverse environment that expands to include various geographic locations and spans numerous cultures.
9. Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.
2. Minimum 3yrs experience.
3. Big data experience (Hive, Spark, SQL) is good to have; else in ETL.
4. Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
6. Self-driven, motivated and results-oriented, customer-centric mindset.

Ideally, you'll also need

1. An aptitude for conceptual design and abstract thinking.
2. Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
3. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
4. Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages such as Business Objects; databases such as SQL; programming such as XML, or JavaScript, or ETL frameworks.
5. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
