A superb opportunity has arisen with our client who is a recognised world leader in their field seeking a Cyber Security Specialist for their Dubai office.

As the Group Director of Cyber Security, your primary responsibility is to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive global cybersecurity program.

This role is crucial in providing senior management and stakeholders with independent oversight, ensuring that the organization's cybersecurity measures adequately protect its digital assets and data.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading complex IT and cybersecurity audits, assessments, and penetration tests to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and managing external auditors and consultants as necessary.
• Establishing and maintaining a Cybersecurity Assurance Program which encompasses a comprehensive framework, Cyber Assurance strategy, annual assurance plan, procedures, standards, and controls to safeguard the organization's digital infrastructure and sensitive information.
• Collaborating with Group Technology teams to align cybersecurity assurance efforts with their cybersecurity operations and initiatives, ensuring a holistic approach to cybersecurity by leveraging each team's expertise.

Job Accountabilities:

• Cybersecurity Assurance Program: Develop and maintain a global Cybersecurity Assurance Program that includes the Cyber Assurance strategy, annual plan, and the necessary procedures, standards, and controls to protect the organization's digital assets.
• Cybersecurity Audits: Lead the Cyber Security Audit team to deliver targeted cybersecurity audits across all Group entities, identifying the highest risks and areas of critical importance.
• Audit Management: Oversee the entire audit lifecycle including risk identification, audit planning, scoping, reporting, and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Threat and Vulnerability Monitoring: Continuously monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities, updating the Cyber Assurance Program accordingly.
• Project Management: Manage all aspects of Cyber Security Assurance work including directing, coordinating, reviewing, and reporting on the Security Audit team's efforts.
• Audit: Conduct Cyber Security Audits using tools and manual exploitation techniques, presenting findings clearly to business unit management and senior leadership.
• Security Awareness and Initiatives: Ensure regular follow-up on IT security issues, conduct IT Security Awareness campaigns, and lead other audit-related initiatives as necessary.
• Professional Development: Stay current on IT and cybersecurity trends by investing in self-learning and actively participating in industry groups such as ISACA and IT Audit forums.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with IT teams, Senior IT management, and Technology executives across the organization to foster collaboration and synergy.
• Reporting to Audit Committee: Provide regular updates to the Audit Committee on IT and Cyber Security matters.

Essential Requirements

1. 10-15 years post qualification in Cyber Security Implementation and Audit experience.
2. Established and/or managed Cyber Security Assurance Programs.
3. Computer Science Degree preferably with specialization related to information security or cybersecurity.
4. Two or more IT security related/audit qualifications in good standing e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CGEIT, OSCP.
5. Hands-on IT Security Testing experience including internal network vulnerability assessments and external penetration tests.
