Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

Customer service associate (CSA) job requires a high level of customer interaction and should have good customer facing and communication skills. Responsible for providing the highest standards of Customer service, provides excellent customer satisfaction. Apart from selling, CSA are also responsible for the stocking, visual merchandising, ordering of merchandise and related administrative duties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primarily responsible for providing high standards of Customer Service which includes gift wrapping and providing after sales service.
  • Responsible for greeting all customers promptly and politely as they enter the store and ensuring to follow the customer service standards.
  • Guide customers throughout the store or to the specific area as per customer requests.
  • Find out the specific needs of each customer that enters the store.
  • Give accurate and current information about the product for all inquiries. If the correct information is not at hand, do everything possible to provide an answer before the customer leaves the store.
  • Operate as a cashier. It should be each employee's goal to use the POS machine without error and to be consistently accurate in money handling.
  • Upselling skills apply to all the customers.
  • Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor.
  • Ensure to keep the shop floor clean and tidy. As well as tidying up, you'll be restocking goods when they're selling out, and ensuring they're attractively displayed as per brand guidance, particularly if it's in a sale or on offer.
  • Work towards reducing incidence of theft, shop lifting, and alert manager in any case of such.
  • Ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • All hanging merchandise should be steamed.
  • All folded merchandise must be neat and well folded. Size should be arranged in order from smallest to largest.
  • Ensure Grooming standards guidelines followed as per brand standards.
  • Ensure to meet high-level of Attendance and Punctuality.
  • Be involved in stock control and management.
  • Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock. Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor, stocking shelves with merchandise, checking stock daily to ensure that all products are adequately stocked and available for customers.
  • This includes unloading and movement of material from the goods carrier to the back store and from the back store to the shop. If stock is not currently available offer to put the customer's name on the wish list, call them when stock arrives.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized back-stock area including staff break area.
  • Follows FIFO (First In First Out) all the time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Chocolate, Food Retail or Food & Beverage industry.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
