Job Description

We're currently partnered with a huge Blockchain business considered the market leader globally. They offer a secure gateway to Crypto & NFT ecosystems. They are set to transform the blockchain sector, and we're assisting in their search for an innovative Chief Technology Officer to shape and execute the company's technological strategy. In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving forward new developments, ensuring the scalability and robustness of the tech infrastructure, and overseeing the creation of blockchain and crypto products that excel in security, performance, and user experience.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong, up-to-date expertise in blockchain technologies and crypto markets, with proven experience leading a growing team and collaborating with external developer communities. This individual will be adept at aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, working closely with executive leadership, fostering a culture of innovation, and navigating the fast-paced industry to keep them at the forefront of the cryptocurrency space.

Responsibilities:

1. Continuously monitor emerging trends in blockchain and crypto, identifying areas for breakthrough innovations to maintain the company’s competitive advantage.
2. Design and implement a cutting-edge technology roadmap that aligns with the company's mission and business objectives, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and efficient.
3. Collaborate with key departments like Product, Marketing, Legal, Business Development, and Operations to ensure the technology infrastructure fully supports business goals and adapts to industry demands.
4. Partner closely with the product team to shape the product vision and roadmap, driving development, design, and deployment to deliver a seamless user experience for the company's offerings.
5. Cultivate and lead a high-performing technical team, encouraging collaboration, excellence, innovation, and a culture of ongoing learning and growth.
6. Manage the technology budget, ensuring strategic resource allocation to achieve objectives while optimizing for cost-efficiency.
7. Implement rigorous security measures to safeguard user assets and data, proactively addressing potential threats and aligning with industry best practices.

Experience:

1. Over 8 years of experience in senior technology leadership positions.
2. At least 4 years of expertise in the blockchain or cryptocurrency space.
3. Demonstrated success in leading large-scale technology teams and projects, with a proven ability to motivate and guide engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions.
4. Extensive hands-on experience with blockchain technologies, with deep knowledge in Ethereum, Bitcoin, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), and a solid grasp of the broader crypto landscape.
5. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think strategically and translate business objectives into practical technical solutions.
6. Ability to excel in dynamic, fast-evolving environments.
7. In-depth understanding of cryptographic protocols, consensus mechanisms, and blockchain security standards.
