CSSD Technician

The CSSD Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging surgical instruments and equipment. They will ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards, maintain inventory of supplies, and assist with the distribution of sterile equipment to healthcare providers. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and package surgical instruments and equipment.
• Operate sterilization equipment and perform quality control checks.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of sterile supplies.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization standards.
• Assist with the distribution of sterile equipment to healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to meet their sterilization needs.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on sterilization equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CSSD technician or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
