Reporting to the Sr. Credit & Collection Analyst, the Credit & Collection Analyst role will be in charge of the affiliate account receivables, and Record to Report (RTR) processes across the Gulf-Levant region (covering 10 countries).
This position requires a result-oriented and team player individual, with strong interpersonal skills, autonomous and pro-active in identifying and proposing solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly accrual of customer rebates, working closely with FP&A team to ensure accurate Net Sales reporting.
Reconcile and review Balance Sheet accounts related to customer rebates.
Manage the payment of customer rebates, ensuring that they are calculated correctly, and liaise with our customers to resolve queries.
Review and validate customers claims, ensuring that documentation and approvals are in line with AbbVie's policies and procedures.
Responsible for collection activities requiring the resolution of past due invoices, unearned discounts, disputes, credit limits exceeded etc. for assigned set of customers.
Monitor accounts for potential risk and escalate to management appropriately.
Communicate with customers monthly statement of account.
Work closely with VLOG, Treasury, and customers on Bank Guarantees transactions.
Responsible for compliance with applicable policies and procedures with the ability to help define, document, and implement new processes to improve task efficiency.
In collaboration with OEC, follow up with distributor to complete Annual Distributor Certification.
Prepare necessary internal controls and mitigation actions for identified risks in Credit & Collection activities.
Assist in internal and external audits.
Establish strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (VLOG, FSS, Customers, etc.).
Support Finance Director & Financial Controller to ensure full compliance with all finance processes and procedures across the Affiliate.
Perform ad hoc analysis and support projects as requested.
Qualifications:
Degree in relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Economics).
Minimum 3 years+ related accounting/finance experience required.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with great follow-up skills and able to work independently.
