Creative Director – Airline Brand

The Creative Director will be the head honcho as far as the airline creative team is concerned. The person behind the curtain engineering the creative identity of a company and facilitating the adoption of that identity – across all media channels with a specific focus on digital. As their title implies, CD's are not only incredibly creative and but also need to be able to think of innovative new strategies that specific teams then work to make happen. They have to be able juggle a thousand things at once from small tactical excellence to larger idea revenue driving work and need that rare balance of experience and natural creative flair.

CREATIVE OBJECTIVES:

  1. Responsible for developing the overall creative strategy for a brand.
  2. Stay up-to-date with digital products & responsible in order to ensure that the team is executing effectively.
  3. Oversee the design and creative development of enterprise-wide brand guidelines, digital programs, and audio-visual communications.
  4. Provide vision and clarity to creative team members to ensure creative solutions for client needs and strategies.
  5. Manage agency partnerships and external vendors to ensure the best value of services, creative deliverables and innovation.
  6. Lead and inspire in-house Creative teams, fostering a culture that places a premium on ideas, creativity and innovation to stimulate original thinking and deliver industry-leading creative.
  7. Provide senior creative direction on all marketing needs including logo design, collateral development, advertising campaigns, brand guidelines, digital creative needs, copywriting, and content creation, including video.

OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

  1. Maintain high level of efficiencies in the utilization of design staff and resources.
  2. Implement systems, best practices, standard operating processes and protocol.
  3. Guide team growth and development as suited to the needs of the organization, business objectives and marketing strategies.
  4. Support CCO & Managing Director to provide leadership, build trust and credibility with partners and shape the culture of the Creative organization.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Chief Creative Officer.
  • Oversees all creative work on the brand and is accountable for determining the creative vision, bringing it to fruition and continuing to keep the bar high on the work.
  • Lead Creative responsible for the Client relationship and the day-to-day running of the account and the business verticals within.
  • Effective leader with the ability to comfortably and persuasively present to senior Client and Agency management.
  • Passionate and inspirational manager who can nurture and mentor junior talent and bring out the best in more seasoned talent.
  • Effective communicator who can provide clear and thoughtful direction on work without 'doing it themselves'.
  • Runs air traffic control on all workflow and assignments, determining who on their team is the best fit for each project.
  • Has the ability to pitch and win business.
  • Evaluates the performance of the people in their group and champions their careers.
  • Represents the agency at award shows and industry events.
