Job description

We are currently looking for a Creative Director to be a part of our amazing team at MCH Global.

Primary Function-

This role will essentially lead the creative workflow at the agency. They work very closely with the creative studio and the strategic and account teams to ensure that well-rounded proposals and ideas are presented to clients both at pitch and project stage. You'll be involved in thinking, leading, developing and supervising the entire creative process and guiding the team where they need help. The creative team includes art directors, copywriters, designers, and content creators. This is a senior role for creative thinkers and proven leaders. The role carries the responsibility of establishing and maintaining the overall creative standards and broad creative literacy of the agency, leading directly to enhanced business conversion. This will be a hands-on role; we are looking for someone who will run their own projects and pitches, alongside being a sounding board and creative director for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Building an environment for the creative team to work in and overseeing their ideas and projects, taking responsibility for the creative philosophy and the standard of output across the agency and the creative department.
  • Developing concepts with a deep understanding of experiential first approach, tech-led marketing, and creatively disruptive thinking.
  • Displaying a proven methodology of arriving at creative propositions and creative territories that deliver on brief and can turn into actionable/execution-worthy projects.
  • Responsible for pushing the envelope with concept creation, creative thinking, and pitching to clients at the highest quality standards.
  • Overseeing different workstreams, from pitches, paid projects, reviewing individual design desk tasks, and leading creative workshops.
  • Working closely with the leadership team for planning and assessing the current skills and challenges that the team is facing and guiding them further to achieve greater technical knowledge and hands-on execution experience.
  • Working closely with the strategy team, to arrive at a coherent and well-collated response, where the creative is informed by the strategy and the insights are reflected in the experiential delivery and journey.
  • You will work intensively with the account team, making sure the expectations of the clients are captured in the creative proposition. You should have the ability to use the account team to gather any and all information that you need from the brand/client/decision-making teams.
  • You will work in deep collaboration with the production team, making sure your ideas and concepts are feasible and adaptable based on budgetary requirements, market conditions, and client expectations.

  • Able to balance the creative goals with the principle of efficient and cost-effective execution.
  • Be an excellent communicator, positive but realistic, with the ability to judge the appropriate way to communicate problems and feedback to the team members.
  • Work hand in hand with the management team, to grow, encourage, and provide an ecosystem that the creative team will need for development.
  • Calm under pressure and skilled in managing peak periods of delivery, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to simplify complex tasks for the benefit of the team.

Professional & Technical Experience

  • 10-12 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Major network agency experience would be an asset; however, smaller agency experience is also a real plus.
  • Proven track record of experiential delivery and large-scale projects across markets.
  • Strong inter-personal and organizational skills.
  • Mandatory industry references, from the experiential nature of business.
  • Well versed in Adobe C-suite, Microsoft Office. Should have excellent ability to translate briefs into some visual format (either graphic, content, or 3D). Sketching abilities are a plus.
