Creative Art Teacher for Middle School

Position: Middle School Art Teacher

Location: The International School of Choueifat – Ajman, United Arab Emirates.

Job Description: Passionate Art Teacher needed to teach various art forms, including drawing, painting, and sculpture, to students in grades 6-8. Will also manage art supplies and organize student art shows.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Fine Arts or Art Education; teaching certification; 3+ years teaching experience.

Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cultivate a hunger for knowledge among students and engage them to learn.
2. Encourage curiosity and continued improvement.
3. Help set goals for students and work with the class to help them attain these goals.
4. Keep an organized and orderly classroom that promotes creativity and learning.
5. Plan curriculum for the school year.
6. Create and prepare daily lesson plans for appropriate age and learning skill level, making adjustments when needed.
7. Create and/or print out instructional material for classroom use.
8. Lead daily lesson plans, teaching the intended subject matter and answering any questions the students may have.
9. Keep track of role and ensure students are attending and participating in class.
10. Assign work by means of in-class worksheets, projects, homework, presentations, reports, etc.
11. Assess performance by grading work and giving tests.
12. Keep grading book and submit at end of each term.
