Job Description:
Workshop Management:

• Provide workshop technicians with instructions and directions, guiding and supporting them about troubleshooting, repairing methods, efficiency, and service quality.
• Assign and instruct technicians on-site jobs and breakdowns.
• Follow-up on on-site and breakdown calls to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
• Ensure all jobs are carried out by technicians as per manufacturer recommendations and using the right parts.
• Control the maintenance protocol and field service reports, taking corrective and preventive actions when deviations are found.
• Responsible for daily planning of the workshop.
• Follow up on pending parts.
• Ensure customer-commissioned services are carried out, meeting customer expectations and requirements.
• Test Crane/Equipment before sending to the customer site.
• Inspect and test off-hired machines.
• Stay updated with technical developments in products, working methods, and equipment in the operational area, and inform mechanics of these developments.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental laws and ordinances.
• Maintain a tidy workshop, ensuring equipment and tools are in good condition, and consumables are in stock.

Supervision:

• Monitor and supervise the execution of construction activities across a number of trade disciplines, ensuring the work is carried out according to specifications, within the allotted time frame and in full compliance with safety standards.
• Receive and review assignments for short-term work programs from superiors to ensure complete understanding of requirements.
• Assess manpower and material requirements based on production norms, and prioritize and allocate tasks to ensure resources are deployed for maximum effectiveness.
• Provide technical advice and training for solving problems referred by the workforce and developing their skill level and competence.
• Prepare regular reports on work progress and provide analysis and forecasting to superiors.
• Monitor and control the productivity of the workforce.
• Prepare manpower, material, and equipment requirements to ensure smooth execution of the work as per the program.
• Supervise the works of subcontractors and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with other trade disciplines and stores personnel to ensure the integration of work activities and availability of materials and consumables.
• Provide input to the project team for the development and enhancement of project method statements.
• Undertake appraisals to assess workforce performance in the execution of assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Education Qualification: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 10-20 Years
