Crane Operator Quay

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Startup Inspection: Conduct pre-operation inspections of the Ship to Shore Quay crane. Ensure all pre-checks are functional before starting operations.
2. Loading and Unloading Operations: Operate the quay crane to load and unload containers as per instructions from the quay clerk. Perform lashing and unlashing operations by lifting and moving the lashing cage. Follow the ship's loading plan to ensure containers are placed correctly.
3. Container Handling: Handle containers carefully to avoid damage to the containers, crane, and vessel. Maintain high standards of safety and efficiency during operations.
4. Productivity and Deadlines: Ensure operations meet productivity targets and deadlines.
5. Shift Flexibility: Be willing to work rotating shifts, cover for vacations, public holidays, and work overtime as required by HR policy.
