The role?
To provide a dedicated offshore single point of contact (SPOC) on Fateh or SWF/Rashid fields, for all crane maintenance and repair activities at Client's offshore facilities.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
Effectively manage the coordination and implementation of all offshore cranes planned and corrective maintenance. This will include daily, weekly, monthly, 3 monthly, 12 monthly, 24 monthly, 48 and 60 monthly routines.
As a Stage 3 Crane Operator assist with Deck and Vessel lifts as required by client.
Constantly review the lifting operation and suggest areas of improvement/cost reduction/crane mothballing/replacement as appropriate.
The Crane Supervisor will also undertake other works at the discretion of Client on equipment unrelated to cranes deemed to be within their competence and fulfil such emergency duties as required by platform management.
Direct 3rd party NDT Inspection Teams AMS- execution/rectification.
Preparation of cranes for inspection or survey by third party ensuring the validity of all relevant certification.
Take full responsibility for ensuring all crane certification is valid including 3rd Party thorough inspection (SWL and PLT).
Daily reporting will be in the form of written log detailing work carried out, spares ordered and consumed, general condition, status etc.
Complete detailed CCE inspections every 12 months including hydraulic hose survey condition. This will include photographs and dropped object surveys. Records to be maintained and shared with DPE.
Continually monitor and reduce crane maintenance backlog.
Review of oil and grease samples and take necessary corrective actions.
The Supervisor proposed are to be flexible to work at any offshore locations within DPE Offshore (such as Fateh, SWF & Rashid) based on work prioritization as defined in the Contract Scope of Work. The field responsibility may change depending on DPE's discretion. Any changes will be communicated to Contractor's Focal Point / Account / Project Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
Mechanical diploma or equivalent (SVQ, city & guilds etc.).
Additional certifications i.e. BOSIET, crane operator stage 2 or 3, hydraulics level 1 or 2 an advantage.
Experience in repair & maintenance of cranes related equipment.
Minimum 15 years' experience in mechanical operations or maintenance, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Experience with managing teams of Crane Technicians.
Experience in offshore service industry or similar environment.
Experience in cranes & lifting equipment maintenance & repair.
