The Costing and Pricing Manager is responsible for developing and managing Hafeet Rail's financial models, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives. This role ensures that pricing structures are competitive, sustainable, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The incumbent will play a critical role in supporting decision-making by providing accurate cost and pricing analysis.
Principal Accountabilities
Costing and Pricing Strategy
Develop and maintain detailed cost models for all products and services offered by Hafeet Rail.
Analyze operational costs, overheads, and other expenses to ensure accurate cost allocation.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend initiatives to optimize resource utilization.
Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted costs.
Design and implement pricing frameworks and models for new and existing services.
Ensure pricing aligns with market trends, competitive positioning, and financial objectives.
Work with the Product Development and Portfolio team to evaluate the financial viability of proposed products and services.
Develop discounting strategies and volume-based pricing models for key clients and contracts.
Implement tools and systems to improve the accuracy and efficiency of costing and pricing activities.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
Prepare financial forecasts, profitability analyses, and revenue projections.
Generate detailed reports for senior management on cost performance, pricing impacts, and financial risks.
Support the preparation of business cases for strategic initiatives and large-scale contracts.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with operations and sales teams to ensure cost and pricing strategies support commercial goals.
Engage with external stakeholders, including clients and suppliers, to negotiate pricing structures and cost-sharing agreements.
Work closely with auditors and finance teams during reviews and audits.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, or CFA is highly desirable.
7+ years of experience in costing, pricing, or financial management roles, preferably in logistics or transportation.
Proven ability to develop and implement complex financial models.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, or equivalent).
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
Knowledge of rail logistics or transportation cost structures is an advantage.
